GreenLab is an on-going research program conducted jointly by researchers from France and China.
GreenLab started in 1998 under the support of LIAMA (project 98-01).

GreenLab

The Chinese name for Greenlab is 中法实验室
pronunciation of Qing Yuan with “Green garden” as the direct meaning,
it was adopted from the first characters of a Chinese ancient poem from about 2000 years ago (Western Dynasty) .

Plants, as a typical bio-system, present a real challenge for scientists from all related fields to understand their developmental mechanisms, quantify, simulate and model them mathematically.

GreenLab approach is a so called “structural functional model” approach.
GreenLab combines both organogenesis and photosynthesis aspects and allows interactions with environment.
